TEDxGuangzhou 2023

Doing our bit

History tends to celebrate the heroes. But real progress—the kind that lasts—often comes from small, steady efforts made by many, not the bold actions of a few.

This year, TEDxGuangzhou returns after a three-year pause with a timely theme: “Doing our bit.” We want to reimagine what impact looks like. You don’t have to be extraordinary to make a difference. Sometimes, just showing up, staying kind, doing your job well—that’s enough. We believe that when small efforts add up, they become the quiet force that moves the world forward.

Although TEDxGuangzhou was fully prepared and supported by many passionate speakers and volunteers, the event was ultimately unable to proceed as planned due to a request from the Guangzhou police. In this context, some of the speakers have chosen to present their originally prepared talks in video format, continuing the dialogue with the public and sharing their reflections and insights.
